Two Men...One Happily Ever After

Recommended Reads

I may write some really hot manlove but I am in very good company. Below are a number of books I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

 Saga of the Wolf

 Paranormal romance

Nicholas: Saga of the Wolf sets you head long into a world of the haves and the have-nots. Adam Lang is a young man who thinks he has it all until one day his sworn enemy Nicolas Ross shows him how wrong he is. A blood feud has raged between the Lang’s and the Ross’s since before Adam was born. When love blossoms between these two young men it blurs the battle lines, shaking both sides to their very foundations.

Stanton and Anton: Saga of the Wolf 2 drops you into the heart and soul of a war very few understand. By delving into their past and  how the two patriarchs first came to blows the reader is drawn intimately into the drama. Being privy to the very lengths Stanton would go to in his pursuit of his one true love makes you empathize with him. Witnessing what Anton has gone thru as the object of Stanton’s affection gives you an appreciation of just how much both sides have suffered in the name of love.

Grigore in Blood: Saga of the Wolf 3 brings this emotional roller coaster ride to a satisfying end. The interplay between Grigore and the Damphir Wade was not only engaging but gave the story a sexual tension that resonated from one couple to the next and the next until it came full circle. Revelations abound in this story and all the loose ends are tied up for the trilogy but not without some bumps in the road.

I have to say this is one of the best series I have ever read. DJ Manly delivers with a style and grace that leaves the reader emotionally wrung out but with a smile on their face. Werewolves, Vampires, Angels, Demons, Good and Evil all reside in this series. The characters are believable, the plot intriguing and the sex hot as ever. The idea that one can be blinded by love and redeemed by love is timeless and the Saga of the Wolf effortlessly combines both ideas. This series has all the elements that well written M/M fiction should have and I don’t think there is a more resounding accolade than that. I would not only recommend this series to be read but also to keep on the shelf to be re-read again and again. When all is said and done this trilogy is a love story and what could be more timeless than that.

 Contemporary Gay Romance

Disclaimer here folks. These two writers have played a key role in helping me find my voice in this very complex genre so I have a soft spot for what they write. IMHO they are gifted individuals who couldn’t write a bad book if they tried. With that said – the book left me speechless. I was moved to tears, laughed my ass off and closed the book with a big smile on my face. To be honest I read the book six times the first day I got it. Dedicated to their devoted fans, AJ and DJ have hit a nerve that resonated not only thru the collective souls of their fans but has reverberated thru the readers of m/m romance. While focusing on the ups and downs of two men who wrestle inner demons in the pursuit of love in the Hawaiian Islands the book gives nearly equal time to Cole and Ryan – a married couple I for one would love to meet. No spoilers in this review just a solid recommendation that if you are a fan of these two writers this is a must have volume for the collection.

Contemporary erotic romance/suspense

Kevin lives in a condo that offers a front row seat to an Adonis living in the apartment across the street. What starts as lust filled peeks at Tony, the object of his affection, soon becomes a self destructive obsession that literally turns his world upside down. When Tony comes over for a play date Kevin thinks he’s died and gone to heaven. Unfortunately, things are not always what they seem.

To put it bluntly this book had me on the edge of my seat from the first page to the last. Who hasn’t had an obsession for a handsome man or woman at some point in their lives? I felt for Kevin and his headlong dive into a lust filled abyss. I turned each page shaking my head and wondering how Kevin was going to be able to pull out of the tailspin he was in. The night of passion was well written, the morning after thought provoking and the ending ….well…. I won’t spoil it. Let’s just say it was a bit of a surprise. This book truly was engaging as both an emotional read and a suspenseful one. To find out this is the writer’s first published work was a shock. Look out folks. I think we have a new writer on the scene who is going to have a home run every time he comes to bat.
