A Second Chance

.       Peter Sandusky and Gabriel Byerley had a love hate relationship for nearly four years when finally they decided it was best they went their separate ways. Their last night together sparked a fire that has been burning inside both men for nearly eight years. When they meet at a friend’s funeral will the spark re-ignite a passion both men have been refusing to acknowledge or simply burn what little affection they have for each other to a cinder.  Will love get A Second Chance?

Excerpt- A Second Chance

Peter rushed around his upstairs bedroom pushing dirty clothes into a hamper when he heard a car pull up in front of the house. Looking out the window he saw Gabe emerge from a cobalt blue rental car, pull out a duffle bag then turn and head for the house. Peter stuffed the last of the clothes in the hamper and threw the comforter back on the bed. He heard Gabe come in the front door. It certainly felt like old times.

“Any body home?”

“Come on in. I’ll be right down.” Peter shouted as he slid into the upstairs bathroom, threw everything into the medicine cabinet and wiped the vanity down. It wasn’t perfect but then again when you lived alone who cares what the damn bathroom looked like. Peter snapped the shower curtain across the front of the tub, shrugged his shoulders and made his way downstairs.

“Sorry, I ……..” Peter didn’t see Gabe anywhere, just the open duffle bag on the couch. He peaked in the kitchen and came up empty. “Gabe?” He heard a muffled answer from the bathroom down the hall from the kitchen, the door slightly ajar.

“In here man. Changing my clothes.” Peter stopped dead in his tracks. He could see Gabe in all his glory thru the crack in the bathroom door. He had stripped out of the black clothes from the funeral and was down to just his underware, the kind that covered the cock but left the ass exposed. And what an ass it was. He was tanned everywhere. Life in California was certainly treating Gabe well.

Peter’s  mouth went dry and his cock loved the little display. Gabe pulled on an old pair of jeans that molded perfectly to his tight ass. Peter shook himself and moved quietly back to the kitchen. Gabe came padding barefoot into the kitchen as Peter took things out of the frig and set them on the counter. Gabe reached around him, their bodies touching at the hips, and grabbed a long neck beer out of an eight pack.

“Please tell me you’re making linguine with clam sauce.” Gabe pleaded.

“And a salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing.” Peter replied, his arousal still tenting his jeans he tried to keep his back to Gabe.

“It has been soooooo long since I had a good clam sauce.”

Peter smiled at Gabe’s enthusiasm. It was one of the dishes they both enjoyed during their years living together

“Well, it’s the least I could do for you letting our friends stay at your house.” Peter wanted to say more but pursed his lips and held his tongue. Gabe twisted off the cap on the beer, threw it in the open garbage pail as if it were a basketball hoop then kissed Peter on the cheek. Peter smiled and bumped him away with his hip.

“Don’t start nothin’. I’m sure Mr Gabe back in California wouldn’t be pleased to find out you’re smoochin’ on an old flame.” Peter tried to pull off an air of irritation but found he couldn’t help but smile at the man who had meant so much to him for so very long.

Gabe flashed another of his bright smiles then took a long pull on his beer. With a twinkle in his eye he tapped Peter on the end of his nose with the wet top of the beer bottle.

“Not to worry. There is no Mr Gabe in California.” Gabe laughed at Peter’s pinked cheeks. “I’ll go set the table.”
